Happy Swedish Mothers Day!

Hi Everyone!
This last week has been good, though there have been a few unexpected twists (I suppose that the subject line sort of gives away which unexpected twists specifically, but that's okay). Lets see... On Monday we had p day and were then invited to the M's for dinner, which is always a bit of an adventure. They're really nice people, we just sometimes eat interesting foods there. Always fun, though.
Later in the week (on Thursday) we met with one of our investigators, A, and had a picnic in the park here. It was nice, we ate, had a spiritual thought, talked for a bit, and played with her son. All in all, it was enjoyable; the weather's been really nice recently and I think she appreciated it.
And then on Saturday we were having a pretty ordinary day until we got a call from the President announcing transfers! That day! It was kind of out-of-the-blue, but about five hours later, Elder Corbin was on a train heading to Halmstad and Elder Martinsson came in a few minutes later. Kind of weird, but Elder Martinsson seems to be a nice guy. He's from Vancouver Washington, which is apparently fairly close to Portland, Oregon. Should be good working with him over the next few weeks.
Yesterday was the Swedish Mothers Day, which honestly seemed to be largely unnoticed aside from having the primary and the Relief Society (oddly enough) have musical numbers during Sacrament Meeting.  I'm afraid that there weren't any treats, though I think that the LuleĆ„ branch, where I was last year, gave all of the mom's potted flowers or something. But we were invited to the Bishop's house after church for dinner, which was really cool. The food was good, we all enjoyed the company, and he has a cool view from his house, which is on a hill overlooking the Baltic. All in all a good time.
I think right now are elections for the EU or something like that. It's kind of hard to miss with all of the election posters. It's kind of funny, because one of the main parties here (at least they advertise the most, so they must have a bit of funding for it) is the Pirate party, who's platform is essentially just online piracy. Oh, Sweden. :-)
Have a great week.

Happy Mothers Day

Skyping with brother and sisters. Seeing his nephew live for the first time!

Hi Everyone!

I hope everything is well back home! This week has been good, though it hasn't been too exciting. part of the week was probably having our mothers day call yesterday. It was a bit rough at first because of the internet, but it was nice being able to see and hear you guys. It sounds like generally you're all doing well.
Lets see... On Tuesday we had a kind of long district meeting. It was a good meeting and I think the missionaries enjoyed it. It was good, though, we talked about finding work and working with the members and such, which I think is really important, even if it's not always the most yielding right away.
This week we should be having a zone meeting. Until then, it's good being here. It's maybe not the most exciting place, but in some ways that could be a good thing. We'll just keep trying to help the people here and see what we can do.

Happy Mothers Day!

Valborg II

Hi Everybody!
Things are going well here in Landskrona (slash Helsingborg). This week has been pretty good.
On Wednesday, I got my new companion, Elder Corbin. He's pretty cool; He's from Texas, and speaks fairly normal unless he just feels like talking with an accent, in which case he does it quite well (which isn't really much of a surprise). It's been good so far with him.
On Wednesday, we also had Valborg at the B's. It was fun, we had a bon fire and everything. It wasn't quite as grand as the bonfire last year at the Ns, but it was still really fun. I enjoyed it. And, of course, we grilled hotdogs and talked and played kubb and such afterwards. Good Swedish picnic fun.
The rest of the week wasn't too eventful. We're continuing to try to find and teach and so on. Things are still going well with J and A, so we're enjoying working with them.
Not much to say so I am sending pictures!
Glad to hear from all of you!
